Today we're announcing that Ploid has closed an angel funding round that values the company at nearly $700,000 USD. This is a meaningful milestone for our team and a strong signal that the vision we're building toward — AI-native hiring for modern teams — resonates with the people who've seen it up close.

We're grateful to our angel investors for their conviction and support at this early stage. Their belief in Ploid gives us the runway to go deeper on product, sharpen the AI, and bring on the first wave of customers who will shape what this platform becomes.

Why we raised

Hiring is broken in a specific, tractable way. Recruiting teams spend enormous amounts of time on low-leverage work — combing through LinkedIn, copy-pasting job descriptions, scheduling interviews manually, chasing approvals for offers. AI can eliminate most of that friction. We started Ploid because we wanted to build the tool that finally does.

We raised to accelerate. The angel round gives us the resources to ship faster, hire deliberately, and build the integrations our early customers are already asking for — LinkedIn sourcing, ATS sync, and AI-driven offer generation.

What we're building

Ploid is an AI-native hiring platform. At its core is a conversational AI that works alongside recruiting teams — surfacing candidates, drafting outreach, scheduling interviews, and generating offers. Every workflow that used to require toggling between five tools now lives in one place, driven by natural language.

We've built the foundation: a chat-first interface, a candidate pipeline, sourcing integrations with LinkedIn, Handshake, and GitHub, an interview scheduler, and an offer management layer with e-signature support. This round lets us go from foundation to product-market fit.
